CSO spiced up Canberra's summer afternoon with the zest and passion of music to a Spanish theme - CSOlé! Picnic rugs, hampers and champagne were the order of the day as friends and families enjoyed beautiful music within the lush gardens of Government House.

Audiences were seduced by Mediterranean landscapes, exotic energy, and a spicy line up of soloists who joined the CSO under Chief Conductor, Matador Nicholas Milton. The stunning mezzo-soprano Victoria Lambourn brought sultry passion to selections from Carmen among others. And the CSO was delighted to welcome award-winning classical guitarist Harold Gretton.

Spanish music was as exciting and extravagant as expected making this a Prom Concert where one was not be able to stay sitting down.
