New music lovers won’t want to miss Inner Worlds, which includes not one, but three brand new works. Cellist Umberto Clerici will join pianist Ben Kopp for a recital of contemporary Australian music.

Australian composer Anne Boyd presents a new work commissioned by the CSO, while the rising star composer Harry Straulig is commissioned by Ars Musica Australis.

We’re also thrilled to present a new work for cello and piano by the winner of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Sue W Chamber Music Composition Prize, which supports female composers in their career aspirations.

Inner Worlds will also feature music by two of Australia’s international superstar composers — Brett Dean’s Eleven Oblique Strategies for solo cello and Carl Vine’s Inner World for amplified cello and tape.
