Feel the incredible power of Beethoven’s mighty Eroica, one of the greatest symphonies ever written. Award-winning conductor Jessica Cottis returns to Canberra to lead the Canberra Symphony Orchestra in the work that ushered in Beethoven’s ‘heroic’ middle period.

A turning point in the history of music, Beethoven’s Third Symphony unties Classical form with Romantic emotion, and was famously dedicated to Napoleon — until he declared himself Emperor and Beethoven furiously struck out the dedication. The symphony nonetheless stands as a tribute to humankind’s capacity for greatness.
