Livia Brash, Soprano
Livia Brash is a Pacific Opera Associate Artist. In 2017 she was a Pacific Opera Young Artist, winner of the Opera Foundation Dalwood-Wylie AIMS Award and AIMS Sundell Award, was awarded third prize in the Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge Bel Canto Competition, and was a finalist in the IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition.
Ms. Brash completed a Masters of Music Studies from the Sydney Conservatorium on scholarship, where she performed Fiordiligi in Cosí fan tutte and Titania in The Fairy Queen.
Performance highlights include performing the female solo in Theodorakis’ Canto General with the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and orchestra at City Recital Hall, Donna Elvira in Opera Hunter’s Don Giovanni, featured artist for Canberra Choral Society and Canberra Wind Symphony for Last Night at the Proms, and concerts at the Sydney Opera House for Pacific Opera.
In 2018 Livia will be touring Australia with CoOpera as Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and will make her United States debut as Alcina as part of the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival.
