A free concert series focused on finding the joy in listening to music with any degree of hearing loss
Created by CSO bassoonist and audiologist Kristen Sutcliffe, Rediscovering Music is particularly impactful for those with hearing aids or Cochlear Implants. This concert featuring CSO musician John Dewhurst explores the vibraphone, cello, technology and language, both written and spoken. For listeners with hearing impairment, improving context, and reducing noise, will boost our understanding of the signal – whether the signal is speech or music. Rediscovering music performances are informal and interactive, fostering a shared community experience. Audiences are encouraged to ask questions, move around the space, and discover the best path for their individual experience with music.
Live captioning is provided. This is a free event; however, registrations are essential.
