Emma Meixner is currently completing a Bachelor of Music degree at the Australian National University School of Music with Kyle Ramsay-Daniel and Max McBride. She is also receiving the friends of the school of music performance scholarship.

Emma began studying music on piano but switched to the double bass because of the love that she developed for orchestral and chamber music.

Emma is a member of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and has also performed with the National Opera, Canberra Choral Society Orchestra and as principal bass of the Australian National University orchestra. She has also been a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2024 and 2025 where she performed in seasons in Hobart, Melbourne and Brisbane, and is excited to play with the AYO for their upcoming international tour to Europe later in July 2025.
