Elsa Guile 5x7

Elsa Guile is a versatile trumpet player who thrives on challenges. Beginning at just 6 years of age, her love for music has only grown over the years. She graduated from Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS) in 2024, completing the International Baccalaureate program.

She already has extensive experience as a young musician in the Canberra music scene, performing in musicals such as Wicked, Annie, Cats and Billy Elliot, as well as playing in the orchestra for Mozart’s Requiem and Mendelssohn’s Elijah with the Canberra Choral Society, and she is excited to explore further musical opportunities in the Canberra community. With significant orchestral, band and small ensemble experience through leading within the Kingsland Brass ensemble program, Elsa looks forward to further developing her artistry through the Kingsland Fellowship program.

Elsa studies with Canberra Symphony Orchestra principal trumpet Justin Lingard and was recently awarded the CGGS Mary Tatchell Prize for Service to Music. As she begins her double degree at the Australian National University (ANU) in 2025 where she will be studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (Music and English), she looks forward to continuing teaching brass students and encouraging younger musicians through performance.
